Look who finally has her own little corner of the internet.

Whew, let’s get started.

I have spent years writing other people’s stories, giving other people’s stories a voice, filming other people’s stories, editing other people’s stories, and the story goes on and on.

Yet somehow, I forgot to make enough noise about my own.

So, here we are.

Welcome to mistyblessing.com.

This is my little nook on the internet where I talk about the things I love, the things I’m learning, the things I’m figuring out, and occasionally, the things I probably have no business having an opinion about.

Also, this is the place I expect you to book and keep me busy so I can amplify your voice, while you put some money into my pocket. That’s quite fair, if I do say so myself.

But why a website?

Honestly, because I have a lot to say.

And after years of working in media and communications, I’ve collected quite a few stories along the way.

Some belong in documentaries, other behind a microphone, others in a meeting room, whereas some are probably best told over a cup of tea with a friend.

So, this blog is for those stories.

It’s also for the lessons, wins, fails, and “well, that didn’t go according to plan” moments.

I’ve worked in a newsroom, stood in front of cameras, sat behind them, and even spent an unhealthy amount of time staring at editing timelines. Gosh.

I’ve recorded numerous voice-overs, hosted a few events, and even moderated conversations.

I’ve spent years using my voice professionally, but I’ve also become increasingly interested in the bigger question:

What happens when people- especially women, mothers and young people, realize that their voice has value?

That question matters to me because having a voice isn’t only about speaking well.

It’s about confidence, and knowing what you bring to the table.

It’s about being able to walk into a room and not immediately wonder whether you belong there.

It’s about developing the skills that allow you to turn what you’re good at into something that can actually pay the bills.

If you’ve read this far, thank you. Make yourself comfortable.
